The hotel lacks vintage charm, feeling quite worn down!!! The smell in the corridors could definitely use some attention!!! Also, the checkout time feels a bit rushed, especially for those less inclined to a 10 AM exit!!!

The location is prime, just a block from the pier, making it easy to enjoy nearby activities. The room was spacious and very clean, perfect for winding down after a long day.
Plastic patio chairs in the rooms, frustratingly few power points for charging gadgets, and a breakfast setup that seemed disinterested. Check-out time at 10 AM felt rushed, especially for a smaller establishment, and the lack of a TV was disappointing for downtime.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel A La Mer. The breakfast was plentiful with a variety of options including fresh fruit, cereals, and meats. My room was beautifully modern, with a lovely balcony offering a partial sea view. Nina at reception was incredibly helpful, arranging a fantastic day tour to Sandwich Harbour.
No jam at breakfast.

The Superior Double or Twin Room with Partial Sea View was stunning! Super spacious and airy, with loads of natural light. I loved watching the waves from the balcony. The breakfast was excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring. Just a heads-up, though, the older rooms might need a refresh. we heard they lack some amenities like hair dryers. But if you can get a newer room, it's worth it!
